Sign up and rack up your steps each day however it suits you. Whether you’re keeping up your normal exercise routine or trying to get more active, complete your 11,000 steps a day your way. Start your day off with a morning walk, switch up your commute, hit the gym or rack up your steps walking around the house - you decide how to hit your target.

Please make sure you stay safe while you’re walking. Wear high visibility clothing if you're walking in the dark, take a friend or your dog with you and stay hydrated.

Anyone and everyone, all abilities are welcome, so long as you can walk or wheel every day. Get involved on your own, as a family or team of friends. It’s also a great challenge to take on with colleagues…nothing like a bit of friendly rivalry!

If you’re a wheelchair user, the steps equate to around five miles per day. You can use this as a target to wheel every day throughout March.

• Once you’ve signed up, we’ll send you an email with details on how to claim your free cotton t-shirt.
• If you hit £300 as an individual, we’ll gift you a technical walking top. 
• If you totally smash it and reach £600, you’ll be eligible for one of our branded water bottles to keep you hydrated throughout the month.  

Please note it can take up to two days to receive your email link from us to claim these gifts after signing up/ reaching the relevant fundraising milestone.

The goal is 11,000 steps a day to represent more than 11,000 dads, partners, brothers, grandads and mates who die from prostate cancer every year, but there’s lots of ways you can adapt this goal to suit you.

You can aim for this number of steps each day as a team or family, increase your daily step goal, lower your daily step goal if you need to or choose a daily distance instead (five miles is roughly 11,000 steps). Update your page story to let people know your goal and adapt the challenge to suit you.

Yes – one team, one dream! It’s easy to register as a team. Follow our guide on creating a team and joining an existing team.

This challenge is all about keeping active, so we trust you to be hitting your step goal each day. Whether using an app on your phone, a pedometer or a fitness watch, you can record your daily step total each day on your JustGiving page. This means you can keep a record of your total steps during the month. Follow our guide on how to log your steps (you won’t be able to add steps until the start of the challenge).

There are loads of great ways to fundraise and spread the word about your challenge. Sign up and we'll send you top tips to make your challenge a success, and help you every step of the way. You can also check out our resources page for top tips and downloads.

Here’s a good place to start:

• Set up your fundraising page with JustGiving.
• Share your page with family and friends and ask them to sponsor you. Let them know why you’re taking part.
• Pop a donation in yourself to get the ball rolling.

You’re welcome to fundraise however suits you best. However, if you decide to use Facebook Fundraising, it won’t show up on your JustGiving page and we won’t be able to see how much you’ve raised on Facebook. 

It’s free to sign up and take part. As for fundraising, we're suggesting you raise a minimum of £200 - but you can aim higher to make an even bigger difference for men and their families.

We’ll share updates regularly for inspiration throughout your challenge, and so will your fellow marchers. Join our Facebook group full of incredible marchers like you, and see what they're doing to get in their steps each day. You’ll also be able to keep your eye on how other marchers are doing on the leaderboards to keep you motivated. Don’t forget to post your #MarchtheMonth snaps on social media too - we can’t wait to see how you get on.

Fundraisers who donate to their own page raise on average 42% more. Dipping into your wallet and donating to your own page isn’t cheating - it’s the best way to reach your fundraising target. Your friends and family will soon follow suit…
